A Bit About My Therapy Background

I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist who feels deeply grateful to do this work. I learned Spanish through the generosity and loving patience of the people I lived alongside while in Chile, an experience that continues to shape how I listen, connect, and show up in the therapy room.

I earned my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University, where I trained in their bilingual Spanglish track and traveled to Mexico City to study with therapists working within their own communities and cultural contexts.

My Current Therapy Work

I’ve lived in Tahoe for the past four years and feel deeply connected to this place and the people in it. I value collaboration with other local clinicians and community-minded folks.

In addition to my work in Marcella Family Therapy, I provide therapy services for students & families at Kings Beach Elementary, the public dual immersion Spanish speaking school in the area.

I also coach for Las Chicas, a program that supports middle school Latina girls in feeling comfortable in the outdoors and learning to mountain bike. If you have questions about either of these positions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

I feel lucky every day to support our mountain community in getting access to quality mental health services.

Me and my community! Therapists need to fill up their cups too☺️
